Siphon-Set for bathroom & kitchen
Due to the more compact design, less material, time and electricity is required and we can therefore offer these at a slightly lower price than the previous models.
From left to right:
- Long model: ideal if the hose from Ahorn was rather short
- Loop model: ideal if the hose needs to be connected as close as possible to the original position
- Compact model: space-saving variant that lies between the long and loop model
These three model variants of the bathroom siphon are for Ahorn Camp variants and fit on the models that have the silver, semicircular washbasin in the bathroom (approx. year of manufacture 2016-2020).
Washbasin siphon for the bathroom, so that the odors from the grey water tank are also stopped here.
The siphon is placed over the drain connection on the washbasin instead of the hose and fixed in place with a clamp. However, you must be careful NOT to twist this spigot and the counterpart in the washbasin, as this is also inserted with silicone.
Kitchen Siphon
The new siphon type has a larger water reservoir and a greater difference in height.
No more nasty gray water smell in the kitchen, even without a stopper.
After several prototypes in the design and the printing materials used, the first sink traps for the drain in the kitchen unit are now ready.

These are intended for Canada/Alaska models built around 2016-2019 that have drawers in the L-shaped kitchen unit under the sink. We are unable to say what the kitchen unit sinks look like in the other and subsequent models
If you are interested but don't know whether it will fit your motorhome, simply order it and keep it on (do not fit it completely). If it doesn't fit, send it back at your own cost. The purchase price will then be refunded.
Due to their flat design, the siphons fit under the sink without obstructing the drawer. There is always a small amount of water in the siphon tunnel, which serves as an odor barrier against the stench from the grey water tank.
The drain diameter is also more than 5 times larger than the original drain. The comparison in the picture shows very clearly why the water only drains away in extremely slow motion with the original drain. Our siphon even creates a nice vortex.
The siphon is inserted from below with the original black rubber seal. Even if the siphon is already tight, a small silicone rim should always be placed at the top edge. We wrapped a few turns of Teflon tape around the outlet end before securing the hose with a clamp. Again, do not shorten the original hoses so that it is still possible to dismantle them.
Our siphon has now been in continuous use for over 2 years.
For installation, the original lint filter insert is used from above with the original screw. However, this should be cleaned carefully beforehand. However, you have to be careful not to distort the original wafer-thin rubber seal, as it deforms very quickly and wears out immediately.
